Centralized Lone Worker (CLW) periodically pings workers to verify their well-being. The application automatically sends messages at specific time intervals to confirm workers are safe. If a worker fails to respond to an ‘alive check’ request within the allocated response time frame, an emergency alarm is automatically raised on their behalf to notify emergency response personnel. Response personnel receive the CLW alarm directly on their MOTOTRBO™ radio or mobile device, thus ensuring rapid response.

Proactive Lone Worker Monitoring on MOTOTRBO™ Digital Radios

The Centralized Lone Worker (CLW) is a cost-effective solution to periodically monitor the well-being of your mobile lone workers. CLW piggybacks on your MOTOTRBO™ digital radio network to send ‘Alive Check’ messages to your employees directly on their radio handset. Should a worker not respond to an ‘Alive Check’ message, CLW retries by sending a second message. When CLW fails to receive an answer subsequent to these two messages, it triggers an emergency alarm and notifies the appropriate emergency response team or individuals.

CLW-Process

At Teldio, we recognize that workers don’t require monitoring at all times during their workday. That’s why CLW has configurable parameters to suit each lone worker. CLW can be activated in the following ways:

  • By the Lone Worker. CLW can be quickly activated on the MOTOTRBO™ radio with the push of a few buttons.
  • By the Administrator. Administrators have access to an online client hosted on their private network where they can monitor lone workers and manually activate the application.
  • Based on Schedule. This feature is particularly useful for workers who complete tasks requiring monitoring on a routine basis, for example from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
  • Based on Location. CLW can be paired with IPS to activate and deactivate lone worker monitoring based on the employees location. This allows for the creation of safe zones where CLW is automatically deactivated, like a break room or an administration area, and critical zones where CLW is automatically activated, like production areas, receiving docks, warehouses, laboratories, and more.

CLW is most effective in settings where lone workers require periodic monitoring. The time lapse between two ‘Alive Checks’ and other CLW parameters are easily customized to ensure that the solution fits the needs of administrators and employees . The application is both reliable and robust, and ready for integration in your Lone Worker Policy.

Increased Situational Awareness

CLW is a powerful solution able to monitor lone workers using multiple devices. By pairing CLW with IPS, lone workers receive the additional assurance that their safeguard will be activated based on their location. This means that a lone worker who has forgotten to activate CLW from his MOTOTRBO™ radio or mobile phone, IPS registers the location of the employee within the building’s perimeters and automatically activates CLW if the worker is located in a dangerous or hazardous area.

System Architecture

CLW is a software application installed on an on-site server. The server interfaces to the radio system using a MOTOTRBO control station (mobile radio). The system design allows to periodically monitor mobile workers by sending them ‘Alive Check’ messages directly to their MOTOTRBO™ radios.  CLW automatically signals for emergency response via ACS when a CLW alarm is triggered.

CLW is compatible with all display MOTOTRBO™ digital radios in Direct, Repeater, Capacity Plus, IP Site Connect and Linked Capacity Plus modes.
