  • A trunked radio system, it’s built on a distributed architecture for voice and data. Control is centralized, but traffic routing is optimized to minimize cost and maximize performance.
  • Capacity Max has a fast, responsive user experience, with robust performance under load and rapid, smooth roaming across sites.

Teldio’s Staff Retreat & Annual Meeting

There are no tags

Last week the Teldio team took some time to socialize, reflect on the year’s activities, and most importantly enjoy each other’s company. A great time for everyone!

A relatively new tradition to Teldio, the week brought our entire team together to share our successes and re-evaluate our goals, objectives, and plan of attack for the new fiscal year. Our time together as a team has made us stronger, more prepared and focused on the priorities agreed to for the year ahead. Here’s a short breakdown of the week’s activities:

Cottage in Tremblant

While everyone arrived in Ottawa Monday, we headed up to Tremblant early Tuesday morning. The cars were packed with tasty meals, cold beverages, and fun activities. We jumped right into the swing of things with a review of our FY17 successes and learnings then quickly moved onto the fun stuff – board games, outdoor sports, arm wrestling competition (we let our CEO Carl win), cards and relaxing.

The evening commenced with a company-wide Teldio trivia game, followed by a delicious barbecue chicken & rib dinner and wrapped up with a few more games and dips in the hot tub.

The entire cottage woke up early Wednesday morning to an aromatic breakfast prepared by our CEO Carl. Eating as a team, almost like a family and out of the routine hustle and bustle of the regular work environment many laughs were had, and relationships deepened. It was a great time to reconnect and relax.

Meetings & Plan of Attack

Fun was had by all, but now it was the time to buckle down and get back to work. Thursday and Friday were spent reviewing what worked and didn’t throughout the year, strategizing and planning for the year ahead. All teams are now armed with a clear plan on what needs to happen in the next 365 days and how we’re going to get there.

A full week together gave the team a great opportunity to focus on the future and agree how we scale our business on all fronts moving forward. Overall, it was a very successful Annual Meeting to wrap up an equally successful year. We can’t wait to see what the next year brings for Teldio!

These days, there is an app for just about everything, and that includes digital two-way radios. Similar to your computer and mobile device, two-way radios can benefit from the addition of digital applications. Transforming your radio into a multi-functioning device, applications turn your radio into a smartradio.

What makes a Smartradio Smart?

In a nutshell, a smartradio is a device that lets you communicate effectively with coworkers using features typically found on a computer or cellphone. With the addition of software applications, the radio’s functionality is significantly enhanced. Turn your radio into a phone, add tracking capabilities, enhance safety precautions for lone workers, receive and respond to work orders, connect to telemetry systems and even access emails. The possibilities are endless!

How do you install radio applications?

Installing radio applications is slightly more complex than downloading an app from the App Store. With the aid of your radio network provider, a server loaded with the application software is installed on the radio network. Connected via Ethernet or control stations, the server ties the radio network into your organization’s supplementary structures such as the telephone network (PBX), email, building management and alarm systems. For certain applications, additional software may be loaded onto the radios themselves for enhanced functionality.

What can a smartradio do?

Loaded with additional features and capabilities, smartradios will make your life easier, more productive and enhance employee safety. Below is a list of the most popular applications to add to digital two-way radios.

  • Make and receive phone calls
  • Send and receive emails
  • Manage alarms and notifications
  • Access to job tickets and work orders
  • GPS tracking and navigation
  • Indoor tracking via Bluetooth
  • Radio recording solution
  • Lone worker monitoring
  • Man down detection

Use your radio to its fullest potential with the addition of applications. Smartradios will make your job easier and more enjoyable.
