RBX +Plus

Teldio's RBX +Plus is the world's first and most feature rich digital radio to telephone interconnect designed specifically to meet the needs of corporate mobile workforces.

System Architecture

RBX +Plus is a software application installed on a server which connects two-way radios to the world of telephony. The server interfaces to the radio system using MOTOTRBO control stations (mobile radios). The RBX server was designed to connect to IP and analog corporate phone systems, public telephone lines (PSTN lines), internet telephony service providers as well as cellular networks.

The following diagram shows the system architecture. Click on a telephony integration option for more information.

RBX to Radio Integration

The RBX interfaces with radios using MOTOTRBO control stations which are connect to the server using a customized USB cable. The number of MOTOTRBO control stations is defined by the required number of concurrent radio to phone calls at any given time.

Note that control stations are shared with any radio on the network so they can place and receive phone calls. For example, 20 radio users can share two interconnect channels

The RBX system is compatible with MOTOTRBO digital radios in Direct, Repeater, Capacity Plus and IP Site Connect modes as well as with analog two-way radios. The ability to receive phone calls is compatible with all previously mentioned radios. However, the ability to place phone calls requires MOTOTRBO digital radios with Motorola Expansion Cards*.

RBX to Telephony Integration

The RBX system can connect to corporate IP and analog phone systems, directly to the public telephone network or to an internet telephony service provider. The RBX server can connect to the world of telephony in 5 different ways: through IP corporate phone systems, analog corporate phone systems, public telephone lines (PSTN lines), Internet Telephony Service Providers or GSM cellular networks.

Each of these telephony integration options involve slightly different system configurations which can be viewed on the links provided from the image above.

* Motorola Expansion Cards can be purchased as an additional part or pre-installed on MOTOTRBO radios from Motorola
